It is about plot of Ramayana Ballet in short (read the
first post). There are two young men, one of them come from the Ayodya kingdom named Rama and Rawana from Alengka kingdom, both of them join for competition to get a beautiful daughter of Mantili's king named Dewi Shinta (Shinta). The competition was won by Rama from Ayodya kingdom. Furthermore, Rama and Shinta go to walk in the forest with Rama's younger brother named Leksmana. By coincidence, Sarpaneka (brother of Ravana) met and harassed by Leksmana. Sarpaneka told to her brother Rahwana and make him angry. Rahwana and his followers wanted to avenge Laksamana then they went into the forest. Unexpectedly, Rahwana met Shinta and wants to take her from Rama. Rahwana devise a plan to kidnap Shinta. In little trickery, Shinta finally be abducted by Rahwana and taken to the Alengka kingdom. Rama and Laksamana finally find out that Shinta has been abducted by Rahwana. Rama and Leksmana then go to the Alengka kingdom along with Hanoman (white monkey who have helped by Rama and Leksmana). Initially, Hanoman who first met Shinta to convey his arrival and saw the conditions in the Alengka kingdom. When Hanoman damaging royal park, his deed known by Indrajid (Rahwana's son). Hanoman then burned, but there was a miracle, the fire did not burn him, then Hanoman use the fire to burned the Alengka kingdom. Rahwana was finally dead and Shinta returned to Rama. However, Rama was doubt about Shinta's chastity and didn't want to accept Shinta as his wife. Shinta was disappointed and willing to burn herself, but Shinta survived because her chastity and a help from God of fire. Finally Rama accept return Shinta and live together happily.

Ramayana Ballet staging is usually divided into four episodes, that is
Episode 1: The loss of Shinta
Episode 2: Hanuman Duta
Episode 3: The death of Kumbhakarna
Episode 4: the chastity fire of Shinta
Each staging begins at 7 pm and ends at 9 pm.
Besides Ramayan ballet performances are staged at Prambanan temple or Tri Murti building which are divided into 4 episodes, there are some groups which has a storyline full package. Ramayana ballet staging was ever recorded in the Guinness World Record as the colossal Ramayana dance with the most a lot of dancers (230 dancers and 30 musicians) and the oldest ballet also regularly staged since 1961.
