Gunung kidul is name a province in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. It has a lot of interesting object tourism, especially for its beach. Gunung Kidul has a row of beautiful beach, one of them is Sundak beach. Sundak become popular beach because its fascination, white sand, smooth wave, also bunch of reef. According to the story, name of Sundak is taken by aSU (dog in Javanese) and laNdak (porcupine in Javanese). Composite both name become a name of this beach, SUNDAK.

Once upon a time, there was a dog which felt so hungry. The dog ran as long as outskirts of beach and found a cave. In the cave, the dog found a sea-urchin. The dog and the sea-urchin fight then the dog won the war and eat a half of the sea-urchin. The dog got out from the cave and found the dog’s owner (His name is Arjasangku, since this article texted, He still alive and often stay at park area) realized that his dog has eaten a sea-urchin because in the dog’s mouth remain pigswill. The dog’s owner then got in to the cave and found remain of the sea-urchin. Besides them, the dog’s owner also found a wellspring from the cave. It is a horrifying and realizing thing because the citizen difficult to find fresh water. Since this genesis, the citizen around this place use the wellspring to fulfill their fresh water daily required.

Moving from this story about genesis this beach, let me tell you about how wonderful scenery there. Sundak beach not include to a large area, but it has amazing view. White sand, reef, smooth wave, and bunch of coral are presented nature for proof there is a piece of paradise. Right side from the beach, having reef which is ready for become spot place enjoy beach over hill. To reach top of hill you need climb the hill, it has slick enough land so you must be careful. Everything you do for reach the top will be paid by its view. Don’t forget take picture for remembrances or just make your friend envy. Around beach have small cottages, small canteen, toilets, and rest area. You can get small cottage, small canteen, etc in cheap rent cost. There is a worth thing to spend night there.
