Boko is name of temple which is located in
Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Boko temple is not as famous as Prambanan or Borobudur temple,
but it has own fascination. From this place, you can enjoy view of Prambanan
temple (the biggest Hindu temple) that given Mount Merapi as its background. It
is really near from Prambanan temple (about 3 kilometers). There is a packet
for visit both Prambanan and Boko temple, ask the guide counter when you
arrived in Prambanan.

The best time for visit this place is in the evening,
where you can find out the best sunset ever if the sky is supporting.

Mostly
people call Boko as temple, in fact Boko is name of palace. Because a lot of
building which is build the palace consist of stone like in temple, people
often call Boko as temple. There are two ways for reach main object after you
arrive in park area. First, park your vehicle in bellow area then you should go
upstairs through the staircase then you’ll arrive in the main object.

Second,
that’s the top one, you don’t need go upstairs through the staircase with bring
your vehicle in above park area. So, you don’t get tired of go upstairs. On the
object, first, you’ll walk through two stones gateway of palace.

Boko has wide area about 250.000 m2
which is divided into four parts; center, west, southeast, and east. Center
part consist of the main gateway, square, combustion temple, pond, square
terrace and assembly hall. In the southeast part, you’ll find hall, platform,
three temples, pond, and complex for princess. East part consist of caves, Buddha effigy, and a pond.
While in the west consist of hills.

Rp. 10.000,- or
USD 1 (Domestic, child), and
USD 13 (Foreigner/International)
I guess, there is a cheaper one when you visit both Prambanan
and Boko temple at the same time. They offer canal ticket for them.
Transportation: Car, Motorcycle, Bus (bring you to Prambanan,
then canal ticket will take you to Boko).
