Bandung, a city in western Java which is known as the most creative city. Many national artists who is birth in Bandung. One of reason why Bandung becomes creative city is Saung Angklung Udjo (SAU). SAU is a place to show arts of Sundanese (West Java native communities). SAU also often simply only called Udjo. Udjo is a part of the founder's name, that is Udjo Ngalagena. SAU was established since 1966 by Udjo Ngalagena and his wife (Ummi Sumiati). SAU's established goals for learning place and preservation of the arts of Sunda, especially a musical instrument Angklung.
Angklung is a music instrument which is made from bamboo. A book titled "Dictionary of the Sunda Language" by Jonathan Rigg, explained that angklung is a music instrument made of bamboo pipes, cut its edges, resembling a pipe in one organ, and tied together in a single frame, vibrated to generate sound. Angklung has been determined to be a cultural heritage by UNESCO since November 2010. History records that angklung actually has existed since the 12th century there.

Udjo Ngalagena or often nicknamed "Mang Udjo" ( "Mang" commonly given to men older) is an artist from West Java, Indonesia. Mang Udjo managed to pack package for the performing arts Sundanese tourism and angklung become the main dish of the material. Recently, many local and international tourists make SAU as one of obligatory destination when visiting Bandung, Indonesia. Performing arts Angklung is routinely held every afternoon. SAU several times involved in major events such as the collaboration with renowned young artists from Indonesia named Sherina Munaf who known as her golden voice. SAU also often received an invitation and the opportunity to perform show abroad. On 4 November 2015, the SAU is believed to fill one of the sessions the top event in celebration of the birthday of UNESCO 69th in Paris.
Performances at Saung Angklung Udjo among others, are staging a wooden doll Sundanese, mask dance, Angklung orchestra, playing angklung together, and dance together. At Saung Angklung Udjo, the audience was given the opportunity to play traditional musical instrument Angklung. At the end of the show, the audience are invited to dance together performers. Center souvenirs at Saung Angklung Udjo provide key chains, T-shirts, various handicrafts such as fans, bracelets, sandals, handbags, and replica Angklung, etc.
