Actually, this ship is a ship belonging to one of the fishermen in the Lampulo village. The ship washed away when the tsunami hit Aceh and finally stopped on the roof of the house one of the residents in the village of Lampulo. At that time, when crowd people ran to save themselves from the tsunami, an empty ship come to them concurrently sea water, residents and then board the ships and avoid the danger of a tsunami that perhaps could sink them. Every muslim visitor who came to Aceh, mostly want to visit this mosque and pray there.

The museum is made high enough to be used as an evacuation site if another tsunami occurs.
