Green canyon is an attraction for activities down the river which is flanked by large cliffs and decorated the amazing passionate nature. According to the local stories, the name of Green Canyon popularized by a visitor who comes from France (unknown name) in 1993. They said that the river color is green.Then, this tourism is called Green Canyon by tourists from France because of the river color and large cliffs which flanking the river. Initially, local people recognize the name of Green Canyon as Cukang Taneuh. Cukang Taneuh is the Sundanese language (local language which is used by local communities) which has a meaning of land bridge. The locals call with this name because there is a bridge over a cliff made of land with a width of 3 meters. The bridge used local residents who work as farmers to reach their gardens. The cliffs are located in the Green Canyon area formed by the erosion of land due to Cijulang river flow in the hundreds year past.

Green Canyon main attractions are caves and waterfalls which adorned by rocks, moss, and very beautiful scenery. Attractions Green Canyon is equipped with rocks shaped stalactite and stalagmite. Green Canyon is opened everyday starting at 8 am to 5 pm, on Friday the opening hours in the Green Canyon is at 1 pm. Location of the Green Canyon tourism can be reached from Jakarta (capital of Indonesia) toward Green Canyon using mini plane or bus. For buses, from Jakarta to bus station of Pangandaran to the bus station of Cijulang, then the next trip using a motorcycle taxi or taxi. The nearest airport from Green Canyon is Nusawiru airport, about 6 kilometers from the Green Canyon.
