The Incas is a kingdom that controlled the west part of South America and centered in the Andes, in the past. The Incas Kingdom approximately was in the top glory between the years 1438 to 1533, the existed life before the arrival of Christopher Columbus in America. The Incas widely known in the world for having the development of science are quite advanced and developed well. One science which developed well was art, especially the art of building. The Incas were able to make ceramics, fortifications defence, and roads very well. Actually, the Incas were some tribes of the Indians who flourished in America, also had a marvelous civilization and culture. In addition to the Incas, there were also other tribes of the Indians that developed in America, that is the Mayans and Aztecs. The existence of the Incas disappeared mysteriously and no description of exactly what was the cause. However, there is a place that is thought to be relics of the Incas. It is known by the name of Machu Picchu, which is located above the Urubamba valley, about 70 kilometers city of Cusco, Peru.

The uniqueness of Machu Picchu is able to attract tourists from various countries to visit Incas tribe's heritage. Several building contained in Macchu Picchu is the temples, storages, and housings. Machu Picchu has about 170 buildings, three main buildings which are located in Machu Picchu are Intihuatana, temple of the sun, and the room of the three windows. The most famous object in Machu Picchu is the Intihuatana, the carved stone pillars that are considered sacred by the archaeologists. Machu Picchu is located at an altitude of about 2400 meters above sea level and is surrounded by agricultural made in land terracing. The amount of Machu Picchu area are 325.92 kilometers square. Machu Picchu was declared as Historical Sanctuary in 1981. Machu Picchu was once believed to be the lost city of the Incas, but recent studies doubt due to lack of evidence.

A trip to Machu Picchu is a trip which is tiring and expensive but is fun and awesome. However, many things which can be obtained as long as the way to Machu Picchu.
