A unique building inspired by the organic forms of Gaudi's buildings in Barcelona was completed built in 2005 in Catalan. This unique building is Torre Aguas de Barcelona which is more often called as Torre Agbar. The Torre Agbar is a dome-shaped building, is not in fact circular but is very slightly elliptical. The Torre has altitude of 144.44 meters, also has 39.2 in length and 35.2 meters in width. The Torre Agbar has 33 floors (above ground), 4 floors (below ground), 4,400 windows, 9 elevators, 2 escalators, and 265 parking places. Jean Nouvel is a French architect who designed the Torre Agbar, he was accompanied by associate architect of B720 Arquitectos Fermin Vazquez. The Torre Agbar received the award in second place as the Emporis Skyscraper Award year 2004. The Torre Agbar is situated in Parc i Llacuna del Poblenou, Sant Marti, Diagonal Sur, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.

The construction of the Torre Agbar has began on June 24, 1999 and was officially inaugurated on September 26, 2005. The King and the Queen of Spain attended the Torre's inauguration. During construction, it involved about 600 workers and spent at cost of USD 125,450,000. The Torre planned to be built of 142 meters in tall. The reason of an ultimate value of 144.44 meters led to the addition of 2.44 meters in high. Until 2015, the Torre Agbar be the third tallest building after the Hotel Arts Barcelona and Torre Mapfre. The Torre Agbar ever occupy the building's second highest construction. However, the title was broken on October 7, 2003.
Actually, the Torre Agbar is private office and is not open for public. The Torre has a complete office facilities such as a cafeteria in each floor, conference rooms, observation area, auditorium, and parking area. However, the design of magnificent building can still be enjoyed from the outside. In the lobby of the Torre Agbar, there is an exhibition which displaying the history of water treatment in Barcelona. The Torre Agbar adorned by 4,500 red, blue, yellow and pink lights that will clarify the grandeur of the building when the lamp is turned on. Nocturnal illumination of the Torre Agra becomes a deserve spectacle to be enjoyed. Continuously, the spectacle can be enjoyed every weekend on 8 pm to 11 pm during winter and on 9 pm to 12 pm during summer. The location of the Torre Agbar is situated in crowded and can be enjoyed best at not standing too close to it. The magnificent design of the Torre Agbar makes this building famous and becomes modern landmark of Barcelona.
